Sinner Mango Sport - Red Edition

The Mango you've been waiting for...

The Sinner Mango Sport Red Edition is a luxury version of the normal Mango Sport. It keeps the light weight, high speed and practicality of the Mango Sport, while adding a large number of luxury features.

The body colour changes to red and white, giving a striking new look to the Mango Sport Red Edition. This is the most obvious difference on the outside of the Red Edition, but it's only one of many changes to the design.

In addition to small LED "daylights", The Red Edition has an inbuilt B&M IQ Speed headlight and rear light, both switched together on the dashboard.

The Mango Sport Red Edition features a full dashboard, similar to that fitted in the Mango+, but made of lighter weight carbon fibre. The red edition dashboard also includes more features as standard than any previous Mango:


The bridge, a stiffening component between the front wheels also changes to carbon fibre in the Red Edition. This reduces weight while keeping the same strength as the normal part. To complete the look we also supply chain covers made of carbon fibre - which are lighter than the usual chain covers.

The rear tyre is changed to a Schwalbe Marathon Racer - this is slightly heavier than the rear tyre of the Mango Sport, but offers a longer lifetime and a little more comfort and is very nearly as fast. Wheel discs (usually an optional extra) are fitted as standard on the rear wheel.

The standard gearing uses Shimano 10 speed components from the Dura-Ace and Ultegra group-sets alongside Sinner special parts. A triple chainset is fitted as standard, giving 30 gears instead of 20 on the normal Mango Sport.

Other details are similar to those of the usual Mango Sport. The Red Edition still has capacity for 70 l of luggage behind the seat as well as items beside the seat which are reachable while riding.

All Mangos have three equal sized wheels. The rear wheel takes a little under a third of the total weight, so only a small difference in rolling resistance is achieved by using a larger rear wheel, while there is a big advantage of needing to carry fewer spares if you have three wheels of the same size. Also, all three wheels are mounted from one side only, making puncture repair and changing of tyres straightforward. The glass-fibre body shell is easy to care for, UV resistant and can be easily cleaned.

The 8 metre turning circle gives good usability in real world conditions, and the 75 cm width means the Mango fits through standard door-ways.

We recommend the larger 90 mm size of drum brakes which are fitted as standard to the Red Edition. These retain the famous reliability of drum brakes, while the greater diameter adds more stopping power. It is also possible to order with disk brakes.

Riding a Mango Sport

Riding a Mango is a great experience. You can expect a significantly higher speed for the same effort than on an unfaired bicycle, even than most recumbent bicycles. Headwinds and sidewinds affect you far less than usual and you stay warm and dry in winter. The three wheels have independent suspension and the seat is adjustable to ensure comfort. The light weight, for a velomobile, of the Mango Sport makes it particularly suitable for use in hilly areas.


Technical data

The Mango Sport Red Edition costs €7290 (incl 19% VAT) picked up at the factory in Groningen. The bike comes ready to drive. It includes the rechargeable battery to run the inbuilt lights, a charger for the battery, rear view mirror, bike computer, pump, spare inner tube, spare tire, puncture repair kit and of course the foam cover for all weather use.

Many Mangos have been delivered outside of the Netherlands and outside of Europe. Your Mango Sport can be delivered to any country for the cost of packing, shipping and insurance. Customers outside the EU do not have to pay the 19% european sales tax. Quotes on application.

The Mango Sport Red Edition, everyone has his own optimum

For us, cycling is not just a hobby or sport but also a means of transport.

The Mango Sport red edition is optimised for low weight and speed, but it is also a practical and comfortable vehicle for everyday use. Mangos are suitable for year 'round commuting, making use of the foam cover which is supplied. The fully enclosed drive-chain lasts a very long time with little maintenance so long as you add a little oil every 500 km.

Because a human being has a very limited muscle power, we need a vehicle that uses this power very efficiently. The efficiency of the Mango makes higher speeds possible with the same effort, effectively shrinking distances compared with a normal bike. On flat land, air resistance is the most important opposing force you have to overcome, followed by the effect of weight. In hilly areas, weight becomes more of an issue but aerodynamics are still important. The high performance of the Mango comes through attention to both aerodynamics and weight, but other factors are also important in daily use, like weather protection, comfort, maintenance and reliability, luggage space, safety etc.
